The Poster was originally owned by an agent and friend of Maurice Sendak.

20 * 16 inches. Unframed. In near fine condition.

The poster was originally produced in 1990 ahead of the re-publication of Sendak's earlier books. This poster is one of the original, more scarce promotional posters from 1990. Sendak's re-publication project was delayed, and the poster image was eventually revised and printed in 2001 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the beginning of Sendak's career as a children's book artist. The 10-year delay prevented a wider distribution of the original poster from 1990.
